DLM with ZoneAlarm
(software Firewall) Programs
The World Watch Download Manager (DLM)
requires an Internet connection to go out and gather the news and
images to view live conditions. Today, many customers have
Protection Software such as Firewalls --both software and hardware,
to control Internet access from programs on the the User PC.
Below is a simple method to allow this from Zone Alarms. Other
software programs are very similar in approach to allow DLM access.
NOTE: Many corporate networks have
similar issues with the hardware proxy and network security
software. Please know that we may need to discuss the DLM with
your corporate network administrators. We are always happy to
help.
Open the Software Firewall application
Next, check the Access Control.
Set individual program access. In this case, the World Watch
DLM.
This program is fairly typical for many
of the products out there. We will be add more samples as
