These updates are for users running the English Version of World Watch only!

A.  Version 8.1 upgrade (The latest!)

• This version updates the following issues:

  • Includes All Basic features

  • Includes All New features in World Watch Version 6.0 (see below)

  • Plus these new features:

    • DirectX: Allows user to retrieve direct web-information

    • 3D Maps options: Allows user to view the world in 3-Dimension

    • Live Weather & Forecast Information: Obtained via Download Manager Program that downloads and updates the weather information for cities around the world.

    • Satellite Tracking: Enables user to view the satellite cover area

    • Cool features from Version 6

• Systems Requirements: Pentium III processor, 128 MB Memory minimum, 32MB Graphic Card, and it supports MS DirectX.'

B.  Version 6.0 upgrade 

• This version updates the following issues:

  • includes All Basic features

  • Stores all settings in binary format to speed loading.  Useful when running World Watch over specialized network installations

  • Automatic Proxy Setting Detecting:  via the Universal Configuration to automatically enable your Proxy Settings for such features as Internet Map Downloads

  • Live Internet Maps, such as Cloud cover, Wave Height, Air Temperature, Sea Surface Temperature, and Weather

  • City Name Placement:  Allows users to set and adjust the City Name justification on the maps (avoids overlapping names)

  • Live Tracking:  As an ODBC or Text file supplement to show information about Cargo and Ship movement

  • Location/City Hyperlinks:  Enables Locations/City Name to display additional information & graphic content

  • Well-developed images and maps

  • Minimized Bugs

• The upgrade version is for current 5.00 Users ONLY.  Attempting to install the upgrade version on any World Watch version below 5.00.1009 might result in a non-working World Watch program.
   

C. Special Recommendation

• Express Technologies Corporation recommends all other World Watch version below 6.0 users to upgrade theirs at least to World Watch version 6.0, in order to achieve the better result and satisfaction (works on Windows 95, 98, 2000, ME, and XP)
  

• Due to the rapid changes in technologies, we are no longer providing the full version nor upgrade version for version 5.0 or lower. All user are recommended to have at least World Watch version 6.0 on their machines.
  

• Whenever you are unsure about which version that will suit you the best, you may want to consult with one of our technical support people by calling us directly at 1.800.654.9548 or go to the email form.
  

• IMPORTANT:  Your World Watch Map Settings WILL be reset lost during this update from any version prior to 6.00.xxxx.
