Pay attention on the digital signature that will appear on your
screen. Have you ever surfed the net and suddenly a window pops up and asks whether or not you trust the web site that you are about to enter?
What is ActiveX?
"ActiveX controls are the third version of OLE controls (OCX), providing a number of enhancements specifically designed to facilitate distribution of components over high-latency networks and to provide integration of controls into Web browsers. These enhancements include features such as incremental rendering and code signing, to allow users to identify the authors of controls before allowing them to
execute". Click

With that said, World Watch™ ActiveX is the latest World Watch™ program that runs on an HTML page and utilizes active components to deliver data over the net.
It is very convenient since the map can be accessed through the net without having to install the World Watch™ program on a single machine.
In a corporation's standpoint, this ability not only gives convenience to the company's system administrator but also to the users. Only one person controls the map settings and cities to be displayed throughout the entire network, which means
no more troubleshooting calls.
The system administrator is the single person who fully controls and manages the program. The map can be displayed by using a URL
address, only if the user agrees to run it.
