New Slim Construction RM-V2550U
This exciting new multi-projection cube system is half the size of conventional projection
systems. This was accomplished by using a mirror optical system that reflects the light
beams emanating from the CRT through a 90 degree angle before directing them onto the
projection screen.

Not only was Pioneer able to slim down the cube size, but also the cost. All of this
while still maintaining the crisp, sharp picture quality our customers have come to
expect. These two factors have made spectacular large-screen viewing a practical
proposition for a broader range of environments and applications than ever before.
New Chimney Design Allows
Flush Wall Installation
Large-screen projection system cabinets require ventilation in order to dissipate the heat
generated by the CRT. Previous CRT technology achieved this by maintaining a small gap
between the system and the wall. The RM-V2550U/E overcomes this problem through the use of
an internal chimney that facilitates ventilation by allowing cool air to enter from the
lower front of the unit while warm air escapes from the top. This design, plus the
recessed connector panel, eliminates the need for a rear gap, allowing the system to be
installed flush against the wall
PAL/NTSC Dual Input Capability
To satisfy the demands of todayâs global media market, Pioneerâs VIDEO CUBE series
is fully compatible with both PAL and NTSC TV signals. This capability ensures trouble
free installation and operation in most countries including the U.S.A., Canada, Australia,
Japan, China, Britain and Germany.
Enhanced Viewability
Pioneer has significantly improved the overall viewability of the VIDEO CUBE series by
increasing on-screen brightness and maintaining uniform image quality both across and
between the individual screens. To minimize the grid-line effect, the borders between the
50-inch screens have been narrowed to just 4mm. Meanwhile, multi-switching, auto white
balance and ABL linkage functions further enhance viewability.
Linear White Balance Circuitry
Thanks to the employment of linear white balance circuitry, the VIDEO CUBE series
provides expanded vision with much less color variation than previous systems. In
addition, Pioneer ha made white balance adjustment both easier and more accurate.
Multi-Screen Layout Flexibility
Pioneer's RM-V2550U/E 50-inch CUBE units can be stacked as required to create a
multi-screen display that matches the requirements of almost any location. Up to three
rows of units can be placed one above another and there is virtually no limit to the
number of units that can be placed side-by-side.
Time Delayed Power Start
When the VIDEO CUBEs are connected in a series to the same power source, the time
delayed power start function prevents a potentially damaging power surge by staggering the
turn on time of each unit in accordance with its ID number.
Wider Horizontal and Vertical Viewing Angles
Realizing horizontal and vertical viewing angles of 150 degrees and 60 degrees
respectively, the VIDEO CUBE series allows larger audiences to view clear, brighter
pictures.
In addition, the wider viewing angle removes the need to tilt the screens at the top
of the system forward to optimize viewing, an advantage that simplifies installation and
keeps the overall display in proportion.
Easy Installation and Adjustment
For hassle-free installation, the RM-V2550U/E basic unit consists of separate screen
and main unit sections that can be assembled with ease. Adjusting the VIDEO CUBE series is
also extremely easy thanks to 25-point digital point conversion plus an on-screen
bar-graph display for white balance and RGB low/high adjustment. Further, in the interests
of operator convenience, Pioneer has also significantly simplified the task of ABL (Auto
Brightness Limiter) adjustment.
Other Audio Visual Display Systems
The Pioneer video CUBE series is available in both 40- and 50-inch configurations.
Depending upon application, there is a choice of screens including standard, narrow edge
or seamless, offering the widest possible viewing angle while maintaining clear, crisp
images. Modular component-based installation results in superior cost effectiveness and
layout flexibility.
Pioneer's RM-V4000V/RM-V5000V Variable Scan CUBE series employ all the features of the
RM-V2400NA/RM-V2500NA series while allowing full compatibility with a wide range of
computer equipment. The system can be used to display text, data and graphic images
generated on almost any contemporary PC.
Pioneer's modular type multi-video CUBE processors employ the
latest technological advances to ensure superior performance. Previously separate
components and circuitry have been combined into powerful new ICs that work faster and
more efficiently than ever before. The RMD-V3209 features 1-in, 9-out capability, while
the RMD-V3216 offers 2-in, 16-out capability for larger configurations.
