World Watch Server (MapGen)

We call this the MapGen which is short for "Map Generator". 

The meaning here is the MapGen creates maps in the background while running as a Microsoft Windows Service.  That is to say the MapGen is silently running inside your Operating System to create a World Watch Map specifilly to your selections for:

  • Colors

  • Size

  • Fonts

  • Layout

  • City/Locations

  • Display options

  • and more.

Here is the setup and linking form.  All setting from the World Watch desktop program are built into these maps.  Additionally, customers can set addtional switches and options to better coordinate their network useage of these maps.  For example, we have added settings to offset the time if the internal web server and the Internet host or located in different time zones or locations.

World Watch Makes direct connections to your webpage

The process is now automated to allow you control of the World Watch and it's amazing map features to be setup and to automatically update the time and settings.  With the use of the Download Manager (DLM), the World Watch will stay in tune and updated for changes to the Daylight Savings Time (DST) and the changes to individual country adjustments to the settings of their DST.
